Project Description

The Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund (TLDEF) will launch the Trans Health Project designed to ensure transgender people have full access to excellent comprehensive health coverage nationwide. The Trans Health Project will work to ensure transgender patients have access to complete information about their legal rights while working with health care providers to ensure clinical insurance policies are responsive to the medical needs of transgender people. The Trans Health Project is driven to systematically eliminate transgender health exclusions nationwide by leveraging public education, technical assistance, legal services, policy advocacy, and impact litigation.
