Personal Bio
Sarah Medina Camiscoli is a first-generation, LGBTQAI+ attorney of the Puerto Rican diaspora and co-founder of the Peer Defense Project—a nonprofit organization that develops legal education and tech tools to make law a superpower for youth leaders. Her work intersects education law, social movements, and children's rights, focusing on how progressive youth-led movements challenge and reshape legal frameworks during democratic crises. Currently, she works as an assistant professor of law at Rutgers Law School, where she teaches and researches issues related to youth equity and social justice movements. Before attending law school, Sarah taught in the South Bronx, where she founded IntegrateNYC, a youth-led organization addressing segregation and promoting equity.
